Due to the applications in meteorological broadcasts, radio navigation, and underwater communications, low-frequency (LF) receiving antennas have been actively studied. However, because frequency range of LF antenna is 30 300 kHz, its electromagnetic wavelength 1 10 km, which makes difficult be implemented miniaturized or portable devices. This article presents a magnetoelectric (ME) with an integrated DC magnetic bias. The based on effect operates by resonance at mechanical resonant frequency. Thus, compared traditional wire antennas, dimension ME reduced significantly. Compared prior art do not bias, higher performance can achieved integrating Magnetostrictive TbDyFe2 (Terfenol-D) piezoelectric lead zirconate titanate thin films are bonded together form 38 × 12 5.8 mm3 antenna.
